The book is "Medal of Honor, Portraits of Valor Beyond the Call of Duty" and yes, it is a good book. It has 116 of those honored, which is most of the living (it doesn't cover those who have died, you'd need another book for that), and my son had the great honor of meeting one of them who also signed his book: Michael E. Thorton. It has the story behind the Medal, and a current (or most current) pic of the honoree along with their medal story.
Puts a face to the names.
