Most illegal aliens may not come here primarily to take advantage of taxpayer funded freebies, but most illegal aliens do end up taking advantage of taxpayer funded freebies. Yes, companies will continue to hire illegal aliens because they know that right now they can get away with doing that. But if we start to crack down hard on companies that hire illegal aliens by hitting them with very large fines, then they will be less likely to take that risk again. As far as who will pick our fruits and vegetables, many farms will likely turn to mechanization to get the job done, and increased legal immigration, possibly in the form of a guest worker program, will provide additional labor to replace the illegal aliens who are currently working on American farms.

Strictly speaking, illigl aliens cannot be charged with a crime in the U. S. since, as non-citizens, they are not subject to our laws. They can only be deported. You can look it up.
How about this Amigo? Maybe we hold these illegals in detention camps on the border until they get really sick and tired of sitting there. Perhaps after that they will stay on their own goddamn side of the line. How about we call it "processing" or something like that. Check into how Australia holds illegals in camps for long periods of time. We can and must bring this situation under control. If you think we can't then you have underestimated the will of the American people.

When will Bush and congress wake up and do something about this huge problem? Probably never. The illegal immigrant wave, and the hispanicazation of the southern US bothers me to know end.
