So then what do you recommend with regard to the '08 election?
I didn't think George Bush was qualified to be Governor of Texas, but ultimately I voted for him. I didn't think he was qualified to be President, but I still voted for him.
See the trend?
My beliefs haven't changed in the three or so decades that I've been of voting age, but the direction of the GOP has changed, and I wasn't so much voting for George Bush, as voting against his opposition.
We could take a lesson from Howard Dean, as much as he disturbs us, and organize like mad on the internet.
That's the one thing I think no Conservative candidate has truly explored and exploited - the internet. You don't need expensive mailings and a large staff to get your message out, if you can get a lot of technically astute volunteers, and if you can respond quicker and better than everybody else.
Howard Dean didn't win, but he shook things up a little bit, and I think there is a lesson we can use there.

I used to think he was qualified, but now I'm not so sure. Not governing based on polls is one thing, but ignoring the will of the people you supposedly represent, not to mention discarding common sense, is another thing altogether.

I suppose what I'm getting at is whom would you recommend voting for in the '08 primaries? Even if we were to say that Tancredo's chances aren't all that high (although I wouldn't write him off), why not vote for him anyway?
