Of course. Limousine environmentalists are always eager to impose limits on middle-class and poor people in this country and elsewhere to protect the environment, regardless of the cost to their lives, but give up their own private jets and other energy-soaking personal perks? Naah...

Of course! Nothing could be Larry or Laurie David's fault! They are stars. Everyone should kowtow to them, and if something goes wrong, it is the fault of one of their flunkies. Liberal hypocrites make me want to vomit.

Larry David's life is all the show material he needs.

"“Imagine my surprise when I discovered that the person (actually a friend) whom I hired to oversee installing a barbecue area (among other things) on Martha’s Vineyard, was completely negligent in obtaining proper permits, which he assured us and others numerous times he had. In short, we were scammed.”"

Nope. Sounds to me like you are trying to blame your 'friend' for not getting the permits, which is YOUR responsiblity.

Not his.

I sincerely hope that when they get the BQ pit out of there they will carefull restore the swamp to its pristine state.

...for building a 26-foot-long barbecue station, stone-and-concrete bonfire pit, and outdoor theater on an environmentally sensitive patch of their 14-acre North Road property...

Dang, I gotta create me a sitcom.

I wonder how much damage that fire pit will do to the environment.

Yet another chapter to add to the current book on liberal hypocrites:
"Do As I Say, Not As I Do".

The discovery of problems on her property was therefore embarrassing, as it gives an appearance of hypocrisy

An appearance of hypocrisy? How about "the reality of hypocrisy".

The issue isn't only about whether they had permits or not - the David's were in a hurry to pave over protected wetlands just to be able to throw a SINGLE party for Lauries hero, RKF Jr. There are plenty of existing venues the David's could have rented for this affair. Laurie wants to live by one set of rules and have us live by another. EARTH-TO-LAURIE: Confess your crime against nature, fix it, then resume preaching to the rest of us.

The discovery of problems on her property was therefore embarrassing, as it gives an appearance of hypocrisy provides tangible evidence of their hypocricy and now everybody's gonna know.

There. That's better. I fixed it.

No, it IS hypocrisy.

Nothing like getting caught in the net you helped set up for others.

How much money a person spends is a fairly accurate indicator of how much energy they use. This woman might not know the energy it takes to create her gold bracelet - so she speaks endlessly of SUZ's. And if you take that bracelet and multiply it by all her "spendings", it's obvious she's the problem. In short, she's an idiot. Mrs. David might be able to delude herself, but that's about it... ( well, maybe her husband...)

What is the Chilmark Conservation Commission, are they an official body, and do they have the authority to tell a private landowner to rip up his barbecue pit and "restore the area to its previous state?"
