Your, if anything, is certainly "clueless." Parents must take the responsibility to raise their children properly and must be responsible for what their children do. You cannot hold children to an adult standard while absolving the parents of their responsibility. That is a cop out and a fraud.

Death penalty for a 14 year old girl? Are you crazy? Even if she committed the crime itself, that would be a travesty. But you would fry a 14 year old girl for standing by and watching the crime committed by an 18 year old? That's nuts (and a half).

It seems to me there must have been serious deficiencies in that young girl's upbringing, among them, allowing her to run off and carry on a sexual relationship with a much older boy, and then witness the plan to kill her parents carried out before her eyes without any emotion. The answer to what that girl did lies within the four walls of her own house.

As someone posted previously, there is no magic formula for raising a model child. God, the only perfect parent, provided everything for His creation, including an idyllic garden to live in and reign over and most especially a personal fellowship with Himself. Yet Adam and Eve still chose to disobey Him. Their son murdered his brother.

Free will is both a blessing and a curse, depending on what we do with it. As parents, we are called to do the best we can in raising our sons and daughters, but our children are still going to make their own choices and not always wisely. For some children, being told not to do something by a parent is enough reason to avoid the behavior. For others, the same rule is a challenge and fuels defiance.

For the record, if a child is determined to sin, he/she will find a way to do it, regardless of parental restrictions.

Agree. Most get thru it and turn out fine in the end. Then some have tragic endings that no one could have foreseen. This could have happened to any one of us. I think that is why this case hits home. This was a GOOD family not some trailer trash. It's hard to wrap our brains around it because this isn't SUPPOSED to happen to good, God-fearing families.

Because of her age (and SCOTUS),she would get life in prison.

I wonder if the sex was worth it.

I can't help but feel a bit sorry for these stupid, stupid kids.

Their life is now ruined because of their love lust for each other. What a waste.

She's with family supposedly. Can you imagine being her caretaker? I wouldn't let her within 2 miles of my family. Can you imagine what her brothers and sister think about her right now? Talk about rage, anger and hate. I really feel sorry for the ones left orphans.

What a mess.

I'll bet the girl gets a pass no matter what her involvement was.
