It _looks_ like there's some black lettering on top of the white caption letters on the screen. Also, if you invert even the poor image on Drudge's site you can see some logo or something in the black zone immediately to the right of the 'X'.

It would be good to get a non-compressed image of the 'X' and the frames immediately before/after it to do a subtraction.

Either way, CNN ought to be able to produce a COPY of that 'X'-image for people to determine what it contains.

In addition to 'X'ing out CNN from your TV remote, remember to always complain if a hotel you stay in doesn't carry FOX NEWS in their rooms. Too many carry only CNN.

When the X ballcap craze was on, so long ago, I got myself a U of Virginia cap, with the big V on it. When people would ask about it, I let them know that--like those people showing support for Malcolm the Tenth--I was showing support for my hero, the Christian warrior-king Henry V. Was priceless to see the libs' reactions. :-)

If I had a hat with a big V on it, it would probably stand for something that -- if I mentioned -- would get me banned.
