"Though resistance is a legitimate right for all people, terrorism does not represent resistance. Therefore, we condemn terrorism and acts of violence, killing and kidnapping targeting Iraqi citizens and humanitarian, civil, government institutions, national resources and houses of worships," the document said.
So killing our men and women is acceptable as long as they don't target these other people and places? If so, bring the troops home today. Screw them and their shit hole country!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No. Don't be such a reactionary and fall for every sound bite.
As best as I can tell, It means that after the war's over, insergents won't be imprisoned for war crimes unless they targeted civilians.
Agree, that is absolutely my sentiments. So we saved their Iraqi butts and now it is okay to call killing American military just "resistence." Such ingratitude.
Every Muslim country is a XXXXhole and this communique proves the essential DEPRAVITY of the people who produced it. They love 'resistance' killing our wonderful men and women, even though WE are the ones that deposed the most vicious dictator that country had known in modern times and gave them their democratic freedoms on a silver platter. That said, I still support what we are doing there as a matter of OUR interest to establish a less depraved government in that part of the world, it is good for US if/when we succeed to a sufficient degree, but the parties to this agreement are scum and there is no question that anyone who can label ANY of the psychotic killers, whether Sunni or Shit-ite, as legitimate 'resistance' is scum..........

The article says the writers of the document were anonymous but the article does reference the Sunnis. The Sunnis have had their power taken away and see this as a legitimate excuse to go on murdering our military personel. The majority of the country, Shiite & Kurd alike want a country of their own and no longer even believe a 'resistance' is necessary. Despite what the left likes to report, when I talk to servicemen over there, they depict the realities on the ground and by and large the Iraqi people are grateful we got rid of Saddam but also are anxious to begin managing their own arrairs.
