This is an interview and a fun read. Analogy to drug raid: "After ten minute of toilet flushing and back-door slamming, somebody came to the front door in a bathrobe and explained he had been in the shower. ... In Iraq’s case, the lakes and rivers were the toilet, and Syria was the back door."

I remember some early reports that traces of sarin were found in the Euphrates.

I would think that Tariq Aziz, who is on trial for crimes against humanity, and who has agreed to cooperate with prosecutors against Saddam, would shed some light on this subject.

The Democrats understand the difference between the two concepts, but have no qualms about blurring the distinction for political gain. This is despicable. This has brought great harm to our nation’s credibility with our allies. A perfect example is Senator Levin waving deception by one single source, al-Libi, to try and convince us that this is evidence there was no connection between Iraq and al-Qaeda, as though the entire argument rested on this one source. Senator Levin, and his media servants, think the public can’t read through his duplicity. He is plunging a dagger into the heart of his own country.

What committee was Levin on again?

Gee, if Bush had only talked about Saddam dumping bad, bad weapons chemicals in the rivers and hurting them, the libs would have been on board.

I am not a brilliant man, in fact, I am of average intellegence...however, before even reading this I would have said...if you want to find Saddams weapons, look in Syria...anyone with half a brain can deduce that he shipped this stuff out before the war...

Thats why when ever I hear this so called "fact" that Saddam had none of these weapons...I just about scream. Even the Bush administration seems to be saying that these weapons never existed. Why is NO ONE, even our side challenging this notion...they WERE there, I would bet the farm on it. Lets send some seals into Syria and find them!!!

Excellent report, yet essentially unreadable because it is painful. Why? Because it makes so much sense; it is utterly rational and accurate in the description of the Iraqi programs and obfuscation that occurred. Yet today, the Dems and Rhinos are in denial of the threat. It makes me so sad, given current dialogue. What is next for our country? Where is the courage of our convictions?

The only thing that would satisfy MSM would be rows of gleaming ICBMs or a Nuclear Weapon. I am sure they would try to spin that as well.

There is no innocent explanation for the massive traffic to Syria before the war among many other possibilites to get rid of the evidence.

The "True" Iraqi WMD story is consistently ignored..

That is Libya's surrender of their Nuclear WMD program ( and about 1.5 tons of "yellowcake" ) to the U.S. coalition after seeing the unimpeded invasion of Iraq and the subsequent collapse of Saddam's government and military forces..

When Libya turned over it's equipment, papers, and personnel, it was determined that Iraq, along with Egypt, was financing Libya's nuclear WMD research..
Additionally, the head scientist in charge of Libya's nuclear WMD program was one of Iraq's top nuclear scientists..

The reason no nuclear WMD was found in Iraq?
It was all in Libya..

But no one wants to talk about it..
