Why is it we can rally around the abortionists and say how wrong it is, how much a child has the right to life but just 14 years after the birth we can totally disregard that child by the wayside?

HOW can you say she was being "disregarded" when her parents had done everything within their power to bring her up correctly (and died trying to keep her from the wrong kind of guy)? By all accounts, the girl was given everything a child needs to thrive, including (rare for these times) love from her family.
WHO was it who stepped over her bleeding, dying parents to run to the object of her lust?
