Last week, he introduced himself to 15 Republicans at Reading Public Library, 20 at ParkView Specialty Hospital in Springfield, and 12 assembled over slices at Caruso Pizza in Melrose. Thursday brought a welcome treat: 100 Republicans in a ballroom in Pittsfield, rapt and ready for his pitch.
No crowd is too small, no event too far-flung for Kevin P. Scott, Wakefield Republican on a mission. The former selectman and member of the town Board of Public Works has been barnstorming the state hoping to be more David than Don Quixote. Despite the odds, he wants to unseat US Senator Edward M. Kennedy.
''I love the political process, as tough and rough as it can be," Scott said yesterday, after making the rounds at the Friends of Lake Quannapowitt breakfast in Wakefield. ''I'm a grass-roots moderate conservative figure that's willing to say he can do this, willing to say he can take on Ted Kennedy."
Scott is not the only obscure aspirant determined to oust the third-longest-serving senator in US history, never mind the liberal lion's 43-year record and $7.8 million war chest.

Why do I get the feeling Kennedy will never go anywhere?

Kennedy and Kerry are unbeatable. They will die in office.

I wish....wish.....that somebody would openly question the lack of intelligence and lack of ethical foundations of the Mass. voters.

He's even more invincible than former Louisiana Governor Edwin Edwards who once said he couldn't be beat in a re-election campaign unless he was found in a motel with a "dead woman or a live boy."

There are old famous quotes from at least two sources that state clearly that the greatest threat to democracy is when the people learn they can simply vote themselves pay checks from the government and then the whole system will corrupt and crash. This is what we are seeing from the slobs in Massachusetts.
If I was this Scott guy I would go total nuclear on that corrupt jerk Kennedy. Just yesterday afternoon I was listening to the Kennedy segment of the audio CD of "Do As I Say (Not As I Do) and the corruption and hypocrisy of this lout is unbelievable. The only way he could get away with what he does is because the press never really shines a light on his corrupt dealings and BS rhetoric.
The Republican challenger to Kennedy needs to be the one to do this. If he has a talent for it then the corrupt Kennedy will be washed away like a sand castle, or if the people of that wet cold state have become so corrupted under him it won't happen. But either way we need to change as much as the NE of America as possible and it must be tried. We owe it to ourselves, our families and our children's children.

***....''Senator Kennedy believes that America can do better and works every day for the people of Massachusetts, to make healthcare more affordable, to improve education to keep us more globally competitive, to create jobs, and to secure our borders and keep us safe," spokeswoman Melissa Wagoner said. ''He views the campaign as running to continue the privilege of the office, not against anyone....."***
It's time, way past time, for Kennedy to be put out to pasture.

Ugh. Just imagine the fawning crap the MSM will put out when Teddy keels over.
