It depends on if they are smart enough to have the president give a prime time speech to the nation and how well he gives the speech.

If it is a blockbuster he could buy us another 6 months before the media starts become listless for a withdrawl.

Well it definitely be a big blow to the terrorists in Iraq. Not that the attacks would stop but they'd lose some of their organizational control. Perhaps more importantly some of the wavering members may get scared off.
