Regarding your comment - "Bush is no Ronald Reagan." I'll just say that President Reagan was no George W Bush! He didn't have to deal with as much problems as GWB. Sometimes I get a little tired of Reaganites belittling President Bush.

I was making a comment on his communication skills. I did not mean to belittle the President, but let's face it, since FDR, there have been only 3 presidents who could effectively communicate, and our current president is not one of them. But no offense against the President intended. Right now, communication from the President is essential.

" Right now, communication from the President is essential."

And that's why his surrogate, his press secretary ,should be pushing back the media every single day.
He should be the first line of defense.
Unfortunately, Scott McClellan is too young ,too inexperienced and lacks the necessary gravitas to deal with the jackals in the media.

OK but personally I prefer plain spoken men. And don't forget President Reagan was an actor for nearly 40 years.

Right now, communication from the President is essential.

As pointed out repeatedly. President Bush gives major speeches every week. Other then complain about his communication skills what have you done to help get the message out? I will give you just ONE example. Any time there is bad news, the article gets posted many many times here. There were a number of VERY good news stories last week. Not one of them posted until I had time to do it this AM. So when Freepers see this "The President has to fight back more" from the same handful of Freepers week in and week out and yet never see those SAME Freepers doing anything to help get the message out, we grow a little weary of being preached at by people who complain always but apparently do not DO anything.
