It looks like the big news here is that Murtha is only on one show. It would have been Wall to Wall Murtha had the Pubs not acted Friday night. That was a big score.
The Marxist anti American protesters were running out of holes to crawl into before the sun came out Saturday morning...

I'd suggest that maybe the Democrats realized what a poor performance Murtha would give, but I don't think they have the ability to see it. Your theory is probably more correct.

And Murtha was booked on MTP before the Republicans announced Friday's vote. Clearly Timmy thought that Murtha's Thursday diatribe was going to start the "get out of Iraq now!" bandwagon rolling along and make it unstoppable, so he wanted to scoop everyone and bagged Murtha before anyone else could get him.
Unfortunately for Timmy, the GOP took the wheels off the bandwagon Friday night, and he was stuck with the blithering old fool.
The media really thought that they and the Dims had just ended the Iraq war on Thursday, IMO. As far as they were concerned, it was game, set and match, the troops were already on the way home and Bush was ruined. That explains their sputtering outrage over the GOP's actions.

What was the DU reaction to the House vote? I don't have the nerve to go look.
