The more that Murtha appears on television, the more harm will be done to his cause. This man is the ranking minority member of the House Defense Committee, and he can't form a coherent sentence. He could only throw out some tired, two-year old cliches and cheap shots. He clearly doesn't know his subject matter. I was frankly amazed at his mediocre performance.
We clearly have another Cindy Sheehan on our hands. Someone has gotten to him and is going to campaign him hard. Given his history with Abscam and his brother's lobbying efforts, I wouldn't be surprised to find that his new found celebrity is accompanied by a big plus-up in his bank account.
After hearing Murtha meander through letters praising himself, I see this owner/operator of a car-wash as an old fart who has traded on his military service record for years. He could make a good living selling life insurance policies to 75yo gullible seniors @$500. a month premiums.
Exactly....and like I speculated....they are using him because they know that for the GOP and Justice Dept. to make a HUGH deal over any shady dealings, NOW....
Would give them the chance, to pull another "Joe Wilson"...by claiming that the White House is trying to pay back Murtha for speaking negatively about the war...and you can't do that to a veteran will purple hearts...blah, blah..
thus, putting the White House in the spot of being the bullies....instead of Murtha being a liar and a cheat...like Wilson.
I even heard on the news this morning that Bush made a statement in China, praising Murtha...SEE!!!!!
They get away with it everytime...because people like Fat Timmy will NEVER point out when they lie....and will never ask him about the investigations that may be going on.
I haven't been listening--can't stand the Sunday talk shows--so I really appreciate the reporting by everyone on this thread.
I'm amazed to hear that Murtha's so ineffective. Of course, there's something seriously wrong when a Marine becomes a Democrat. It requires a rejection of every principle Marines hold dear. Something had to go seriously wrong with his thought process.
Cindy Murtha. I like that.
