On the most recent Fox News Sunday, Sen. Jay Rockefeller, D-W.Va., - vice-chair of the Senate Intelligence committee, we should note - insisted (as the party line dictates) that we are in Iraq today because the Bush administration single -mindedly decided to take us there. Then host Chris Wallace played a tape of Rockefeller's own comments from October, 2002: "I do believe that Iraq poses an imminent threat, but I also believe that after September 11 that question is increasingly outdated." "Imminent threat," of course, are the dire, scare-mongering words that war critics are so desperate to assign to the pre-war speeches of George Bush, who in fact never approached such rhetorical heights.
Bush never said Saddam was an imminent threat, but Rockefeller himself did. So much for the RATS lies, and more lies, and on and on into perpetuity.
Rats are habitul liars...and have NO regard for what would happen, not only to Iraq...but, all over the world...and American,
If we were to withdraw now...or even in 2006, like they want. They also want Bush to promise not to have a "permanent base" in Iraq...
Right....like we don't have ones in South Korea, Germany, Japan, Kosovo...cmon guys, get real.
