oh, I see.
FreeReign - have you not been on the threads these last few months and seen the huge number of freepers who consider the Republicans spineless?
The names would be too many to list who are NOT doing their jobs. We would have an easier time listing those who are doing their jobs. Particularly in Congress. I'm not sure, off the top of my head, I can think of one single Republican Senator who is defending the administration and supporting the mission in Iraq.
Well, I'm sure you've been in many more battle than have I, but I will never underestimate my enemies and their tactics. To do so is to court defeat.
And I well understand how veering ever so slightly off the standard ditto course here on these threads should require the Surgeon General's warning.
Exactly!!
Best reason in the world to get more involved in the Republican party. We have to work overcoming our own RINO's as well as educating voters on issues and candidates. Also why we, in CO at least, are coordinating more than ever before with College Republicans to support their efforts.
Given the polls during the election, Bush should then have won by 20 to 30 points.
I write personal letters to the troops and tell them that without them, we as women particularly, would feel very unsafe. That they will always be proud of how they protected our country and freed a nation.
That we will never forget them. That we will fly our flag with dignity and pride because of them. That they are the best this nation has to offer. That they have risen above self interest and given to the country and protected their families without regard to their own safety and interests.
That they are doing the hard thing while we at home try to do the right thing and continue to support them and try and condemn those who lie about them.
That we will never, ever forget them and want to hear their stories when they come home and if in a position to do it, ensure that they are well greeted and find good jobs when they return.
That we love them. And honor them. Always.
On that we agree completly.
"I believe that the president's speech on Veterans Day and the Republican House reps maneuvers on Friday shows us the start of a new course. We must hope that is the case. If it is not, and the left gains control of the House, we WILL see impeachment hearings.
We've seen numerous articles alluding to this and the left is licking their chops. Republicans had better be smart and start playing offense instead of defense."
I read on FR that the VP is suposed to give another great (e.g., hard-hitting against the Dims) speech tomorrow.
Just did a check of C-Spin and found this for tomorrow. Man your VCR's fellow FReepers:
11:00 AM EST
0:45 (est.) LIVE
Speech
War on Terror
American Enterprise Institute
Richard Cheney , United States
The beginning and end of this live program may be earlier or later than the scheduled times.
LOL. If he only knew.
Thanks for posting that; I'll tape it or watch it. The Vice President does a GREAT job.
It's time to put the wood to the Democrats and their malicious lies.
"I think Iraq is simply the largest of our tasks in the war on terror"
I do too....it's going to be a good step for us to have Iraq as a strong ally. Their character, the location, and their free and Democratic government will be a big help. But one only has to see the hot spots erupting all over the world to know that this war did't start in Iraq and it won't end there.
I still have to shake my head over Chris Rock's comments. Something about the best place to pick up girls for sex is at Democrat pro-abortion ralies. Can't remember exactly but one, they're easy, and two you don't have to worry about getting them pregnant.
Only the good guys fish.
Thank you for that history refresher - spot on.
Bush gives dozens of speeches every week. How much coverage do you see of them? He has give a major speech a week for months. What have you seen of them? This fixation by a certain segment of Freeper on the Dinosaur Media is what is dangerous. Freeper should KNOW better.
The Doom crowd have this ridiculous idea that some where some how there is a magic silver bullet the White House can fire that will slay the evil Dinosaur Media. THEY HAVE ALWAYS been the enemy. Listening to them for your news is the equivalent of listening to Radio Berlin for "news" in 1943.
It does NOT help our agenda at all that a certain segment of Freepers spend ALL their time acting as the echo chamber for the lies all the time Media. Instead of helping DEFEND the truth, they spend all their time REPEATING the lies and whining about how the "Why doesn't Bush fight back". Frankly this is my last post on the topic. I am sick of trying to teach BASIC common sense to people who insist on spending ALL their time shooting at their OWN side.
What does the Whine all the Time choir think they accomplish by posting THOUSANDS of post whining about "why doesn't Bush fight back"? Frankly he IS and he could USE SOME HELP instead of the psuedo-intellectual posturing of the 100% negative crowd who seem to think coping a hyper critical attitude indicates they are "smart". It doesn't indicate wisdom at all.
More ACTION, LESS TALKING Conservatives.
Obviously, no one get through to Bush what the people were looking at. Remember all the false reporting of Katrina. It looked like a world coming to an end movie, and people came to expect the President to come to the rescue with his jet fighter.
Ok, that is it. Source for this claim? I can not find ANY verifcation for this line. That this is a lie is proven by record reenlistment rates. "Sinking morale" then why are they reenlisting at 103% of quota even knowing they will be going BACK to Iraq if they do??????
Aren't you the one who created it ..?? I was trying to remember who it was.
