Who was the idiot, leftist writer (Normain Mailer maybe?) that lobbied for the release of a murderer he claimed had been reformed while in jail... He was released, and later committed another murder...

I can imagine the tough choice that the Nobel Peace Prize committee had to make... Hmmmm. Tookie Williams or Jimmy Carter... Convicted murderer, or communist tyrant apologist... Ah, what the heck. Let's just give it to that terrorist, Yasser Arafat!

Don't these people have jobs or lives at all?

It's interesting the choices people make that lead them to strange places.

Free will is like laying down railroad tracks. We can lay them in different directions, but once they're laid down, we gotta ride them where they go.

Tookus needs to ride his into the hereafter, soon. And the people supporting him need to examine their own tracks, because by taking his side, they're going to share some of his destination.

First things first. I'm black. And if this man murdered those people, then he deserves death.

Seeing that picture with that woman and the sign, "God's in control. No Execution" just makes me want to vomit. Yes, God is in control. And if she were half way acquainted with God, she would know that He gave authority to governments to bear the sword for those who do evil. Last time I checked, a sword wasn't used to "rehabiliate"! Tookie Williams showed his contempt for God when he murdered four people, people who were made in His image. To murder another human being is a direct assault on God Himself, IMO and that's why God demanded that murderers be put to death. The fact that this guy still claims he's innocent (even as all the evidence and, from what I read somewhere, his own BIG MOUTH proved that he did it) shows me we aren't dealing with a person whose elevator reaches the top floor! To even invoke the name of God in association with this piece of filth is appalling!

GOD'S IN CONTROL! NO CLEMENCY!

NO CLEMENCY!

I believe Tookie's stepmother said the same thing.

Well spoken! Although I am not a proponent of the death penalty, I do feel that there are other ways to reform truly convicted murderers instead of allowing them the right to free cable TV, food and shelter on taxpayers dollars. For instance, throw all of the murderers on a desolute island devoid of any amenities, clothes, vegetation or wildlife in the Bering Straits (brrrr) zillions of miles away from land and let them play survivor. Should make for a great new CBS reality series!
