Snoop Dogg: Crips Founder Shouldn't Be Executed
POSTED: 10:20 pm EST November 19, 2005
SAN QUENTIN, Calif. -- Rapper Snoop Dogg is urging California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to grant clemency to a gang founder who is scheduled to be executed next month.
Snoop Dogg said Crips co-founder Stanley "Tookie" Williams inspired him to work with young people.
The rapper and former Crips member spoke to about 1,000 people outside San Quentin, where Williams awaits execution on Dec. 13 for the murders of four people in 1979.
Williams has exhausted his appeals and is seeking clemency from Schwarzenegger. The governor has said he is "dreading" the decision.
Williams founded the Crips in 1971 in Los Angeles. In the following years, the gang battled with its rival, the Bloods, for territory and control of the drug trade.
In prison, however, Williams has gained international acclaim for writing children's books about the dangers of gang life. An award-winning television movie starring Jamie Foxx, "Redemption," was based on his life.
(Denny Crane: "I Don't Want To Socialize With A Pinko Liberal Democrat Commie.Say What You Like About Republicans. We Stick To Our Convictions. Even When We Know We're Dead Wrong.")
The new Mumia.
How many people have been beaten, raped, stabbed or shot as a result of his forming this gang? If we won't let Madonna get away with trying to change her image with a few children's books why in the world would we let this guy? The only thing Ahnold should be thinking about is the one liner he is going to deliver to the press after he gets it. "Vats dat you say? Today is Thursday...for Tookie it vas Fry Day..."
So sorry Mr. Dogg.
I understand and support your point, but to classify the pos poop Dogg as an intellectual, even an idiotic one, is a stretch.
That settles it then.
Yeah. He inspired him to work with teenage girls in making "Girls Gone Wild" featuring Snoop Dogg.
Ya, that definitely was a low point.
I heard somewhere that he didn't make the slightest effort to reach out to children, or write any children's books until his last appeal was rejected. This was plan B. Fry the MF already!!
No surprise a murderer like Snoop Dogg would stick up for this murderer.

Everything useful here is implicit in this title. No one using such a name who was not born with it, could have anything useful to hear.
Those picture make it clear that it is imperative that the murderer be duly executed. Who are those women dressed in some kind of nun-like garb?
Terminate "Tookie" bump.
For the life of me, I will NEVER understand why the thugs, criminals, and murderers in the black community are looked upon as heroes and subject to praise and accolades.
This is a striking difference between black communities and white communities. White communities applaud when criminals are caught and removed. Black communities end up supporting criminals and demanding they be let free to presumably bring more crime and violence to black communities.
Looks like some sort of Nation of Islam garb.
Don't be suprised if Arnold caves...
I was wondering that.
If anyone has an email for Schwarzenegger put it up. He needs to hear from those who want justice served.
