"Happy Solstice Sparkle Holidays!"

I for one cannot stand the whole insipid "Happy Holiday" mantra. Either wish me a Merry Christmas or a Happy Hanukkah; or leave out the paper thin platitude, and just take my money.

Same here.

I'm sick of retailers fighting each other for my Christmas purchasing dollars, but refusing to even say the word "Christmas" in their advertisements, store displays, etc. They act like it's a dirty word.

Based on my research, Target appears to be one of the worst offendors.

I refuse to purchase from any of these retailers, and my options are growing thin. Most of my gifts are home-made this year, and I like it. I think the retailers are starting a trend that doesn't work in there favor long-term... :)
