Rabbi Yoffie has allowed his dogma to be run over by his karma. His real unhappiness comes from two sources.

Moses has assumed room temperature long ago and is thus beyond Yoffie's reach. But Moses having started a faith that doesn't count homosexuals a members of a minyan (the minimum of ten males needed for a synagogue worship)and this is the basis of both Jewish and Christian homosexual proscriptions.

But Moses was, after all, settling a pastoral people into farming as he was founding a religion. Religious believers like new members, particularly children. Moses knew homosexuals didn't produce children. The rest follows.

Worse yet, Rabbi Yoffie really has a bone to pick with the source of what Moses admitted were words given to him rather than being Moses's own words. But that source has been rather indifferent to requests for in person debates over the original words.

There is nothing in Judaism that prevents gay men from being counted into a minyan, any more than pork-eaters, or Sabbath violators.

Welcoming such people into a congregation does not imply an endorsement of their conduct, but rather a request to help them repent.
