Christmas Messages to the Troops
Merry Band of Patriots
Posted on 11/19/2005 7:23:52 AM PST by daybreakcoming
After this week's message of "cut and run" outrage this may seem like a small thing but one positive thing we can do right now for our troops is send them a Christmas message of support. No rants - just letting them know the ways that we love and support them. They need to hear this more than ever and what better way than a Christmas letter.
Working with FR's own Merry Band of Patriots, you can FReepmail me the message from you/your family. No need for your full name but your location would be nice so the troops can see these messages come from all over the USA. I will print them out of Christmas stationary and send them Priority Mail to our contacts around Iraq and Afghanistan. These contacts will see that our guys/gals get to see your messages to them.

Yup. I figure most of them are just projecting guilt over something.

Well, I guess I'll have to give high marks for consistency. FR has "rallied" to another "Support the Troops" thread as it almost always does - weakly.
But we are asking an awful lot here - a FReepmail!

can we send you more than one? Bless you. Actually what I am doing is making copies of each note to each one of our bases that we are working with. They will each receive a duplicate set which they will post on the walls where all can read them. Now if you can get other members of your family - especially children - to dictate to you and you FReepmail it to me.......... Thanks

But we are asking an awful lot here - a FReepmail!I know. A few strokes on the keyboard and it doesn't cost anyone but me a dime as I said on another thread. I just know they care about the troops. Maybe I didn't present it right.
I'm taking an assortment of Christmas cards to Thanksgiving dinner for everyone to write on and even my democrat kin will (They're the Zell Miller kind but still democrats)

I once presented a "Support the Troops" event with a misleading title about a nude swimsuit model saving a man's genitals from a lawnmower. It got over 10,000 views - but the response to the event was tepid.
Trust me, it wasn't your presentation.

But I have more gratitude to express! haha. I'll round up some of my family. They'll be happy to help.
