Christmas Messages to the Troops
Merry Band of Patriots
Posted on 11/19/2005 7:23:52 AM PST by daybreakcoming
After this week's message of "cut and run" outrage this may seem like a small thing but one positive thing we can do right now for our troops is send them a Christmas message of support. No rants - just letting them know the ways that we love and support them. They need to hear this more than ever and what better way than a Christmas letter.
Working with FR's own Merry Band of Patriots, you can FReepmail me the message from you/your family. No need for your full name but your location would be nice so the troops can see these messages come from all over the USA. I will print them out of Christmas stationary and send them Priority Mail to our contacts around Iraq and Afghanistan. These contacts will see that our guys/gals get to see your messages to them.

In the amount of time you spent berating a selfless person, you could have written a nice thank-you note to our troops. But there wouldn't have been anything in it for you, so it's no surprise that you instead launched into a tirade.
But I did have to laugh at your "self important" projection.
If you don't like it around here, get lost.

Fine fine, you are all God's gift, I'm a slug, whatever. Just stop pinging people who haven't asked for it, already.

For what it's worth, I can't recall ever pinging you. I really can't imagine giving a damn as to your opinion.
But I love the lazy jerks around here that need to publicly tear down others so as to minimize their own failings. All this anger because you're too darned lazy to write a simple FReepmail. But I do appreciate your mindless rants, because they do serve to bump the thread. Call me as many names as you like, as long as you're bumping this nice thread. (Yes, despite your best efforts it is still nice.)

One freep mail I don't mind. Five a day for the same stupid end, I mind. Stop unsolicited pings, they do not help any cause you think they might be furthering, they just piss us off.

Hope some of you will send a Christmas message to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. My step daughter's kindergarten teacher has a brother in Iraq. She's gathering up things for a Christmas care package for the troops. We're including a bunch of little things as well as a thank you letter.

From what I hear, the soldiers most like the cards and pictures that kids make for them.
Tell your kindergarten teacher to pass on our thanks and respect to her brother.

Thanks for the bump. (And just think how many nice greetings you could have sent to our troops had you put your whining to good use.)

It's the least I can do. patriciaruth who usually handles this and so many other things for the troops has been miserable with a bad cold.
Thanks for the bump.
