Sounds like Mr. Vonnegut has some issues of self-loathing, doesn't it?
Indeed.
"Sounds like Mr. Vonnegut has some issues of self-loathing, doesn't it?"
---
He always has -- I used to voraciously read his stuff in high school. Always felt he was a good writer and hilarious at times, but usually walked away feeling a little lower, and dirtier. Self-loathing and Godlessness is at the psychological/spiritual root of all die-hard Lefties (Lib-terians, don't attack, not all Mooslims are terrorists): Since they are in fact God in there eyes, when faced with man's faults, rather than refute their belief (How could God be wrong?), they punish or make excuses. The end point is frank delusional behavior, or bitterness/hatred for all. It is really sad, and childish, and Christians should be big enough to treat them like children, helping them to take steps to adulthood.
