the horizon for him and the possibly of crimminal charges.

So Murtha knew he could deflect any ethics probe by

playing up his war hero status as immunity in regards to

creating a firestorm of controvery calling for the yellow-

belly cut and run cowards way out of Iraq.

Exactly. I think this whole stunt with his "resolution" was just so he can claim in the future that any ethics probe into his defense appropriations shenanigans is just a politically motivated attack in response to his demand for withdrawal of the troops.
