Why in the hell would we cut and run when we are winning the war? In case you haven't noticed, Saddam and his army have been destroyed. His murderous fascist regime is no more. Saddam is in chains and awaiting a date with the hangman. The Iraqi people have been liberated. They've installed a new constitution and are on the eve of electing their new government. They are recruiting and training their own security forces and will soon be ready to defend themselves. The war in Iraq has been spectacularly successful! Why pull out on the eve of victory and let all of this collapse?

Soldiers know its their job and a hard one at that.
Just like firefighters who want to fight fires.

Honestly Jim, I think this is a strategy hatched by the Dems to drag defeat from the jaws of Victory.
Soon, very soon, the Iraqi Army will be up to strength. The Americans will pull back to remote bases to be high tech border guards where our superior technology and firepower will close off the country.
Now the fight is between Islamofacists and freely elected Iraqis. The terrorists will no longer be killing “Crusaders”. They will be killing (even more than they are now) Arabs.
I predict a sudden shift away from support in the manner that happened in Jordan recently.
The Dems, seeing this coming, are trying desperately to prevent what will surely become the crown jewel in Bushes foreign policy.
But then, when you don’t have a policy or vision, only slogans, you are doomed in a fair fight.
