MIAMI (AP) Tropical Storm Gamma formed Friday off the coast of Central America, with long-range forecasts indicating it could threaten Florida by the beginning of next week.
The long-term track from the National Hurricane Center indicated that Gamma may take a track similar to Wilma's and head northeast toward the Florida Peninsula. Wilma tore across the southern portion of the state on Oct. 24, causing widespread damage and power outages.

My (senior) folks are sitting in a heavily damaged prefab, surrounded by all their stuff packed in boxes, waiting to get out of there NEXT week. This is not good news.

Actually they only went a week w/o power and water...we are moving them up here..just put a contract on a place for them; their insurance co. already paid up; their home was totalled. It may screw up the moving schedule. They're in North Broward. ugh.

GEORGE: Forget Gamma.
KRUGER: Who's Gamma?
GEORGE: There's no Gamma.
KRUGER: Maybe there should be a Gamma.
GEORGE: Oh, no.
KRUGER: George.
ALL (chanting): Gamma! Gamma! Gamma! Gamma! Gamma! Gamma! Gamma!
GEORGE: Gamma's gettin' upset!

We like to put full plastic water jugs in the freezer ... so if electricity goes out, you can keep things cold for a while, then eventually you can drink it :-)
