I was scanning this thread to see if anybody in the state would comment on this. I was hoping that given that the inner city denizens were scattered to the wind, Louisiana's liberal shrew in the senate would be at a disadvantage. Is the thinking in the state along the lines that this will indeed be the case? Is there a viable candidate to oppose her?

I don't know about any vets, but Bobby Jindal is the big dog out there right now. He seems more likely to go governor though.

Yes, I think everyone knows that both Landrieu and Gov. "Blank Stare" are vulnerable. However, I haven't heard a thing about possible Republicans candidates running against Landrieu. I would love it if Bobby Jindal (now serving in the House) ran. I think he would crush her.
