I noticed that. I always have liberal friends who tell me about these "conservatives" or "Republicans" they know who don't support President Bush. Funny I don't know any of them. And it's odd that they can never come up with more than one person to make up...I mean more than one person they know.
Most Americans despise latte-sipping, Volvo-driving liberals, notwithstanding the fact that most of these people are closet COMMUNISTS, which definitely won't sell here.
For the same reason they never finish the phrase, "woman's right to choose..."
That reminded me of a discussion Chris Matthews had earlier with Maureen Dowd. He was going on and on about how the Rats seem to nominate candidates people don't like. They seem "uptight" and "elitist", whereas Republicans nominate what seems like regular guys. (Chris, get a clue!)
Rats nominate candidates who won't/can't say what they really believe. They go for the candidate who's come up with the best focus-grouped phrases to make him sound conservative enough to be "electable". People sense the deceipt and don't like it. That's why they won't say they're liberal. That's wh they say they oppose gay marriage...BUT they're for "equal rights regardless of sexual preference". They love the troops, as long as we don't use them.
It's the hypocracy, Chris. It's the weaselly words they use to hide their true agenda. People aren't stoopid...well, Rats are.
