Can you or someone explain this to me: Are dems and the GOP saying that what Murtha said,or certainly what I thought I heard him say, was'nt what he said? Did'nt he say that our troops should pull out immediately? I know that he said later at a press conference that it might take 6 months .Are dems trying to spin this as immediately means STAT when I think most people would agree immediately does'nt mean this minute, but yes, immediately means let's get started NOW and the goal is all troops will be home in 6 months?
Did anyone bother to quote what Murtha said? Oh, I guess quoting him, might be a "personal attack" Again, why can't
atleast the majority of the GOP simply state that Mertha's plan is wrong for our troops and our country and the Iraqi people. Why can't they just say that Murtha is insulting our men and women in uniform TODAY. Then continue to elaborate on the Dems undermining of the War by total distortions and lies.
Or how about a few of the Rep. remindng the dems that this isn't the first time he's said to get out of Iraq and that he even voted for the draft. What would the hippies in San Fran think of his voting for the draft?

Or perhaps someone could have done a one minute speech about how Murtha is under alot of stress due to his sons drug habit and that they all wish his son's recovery. I mean show some compassion for the guy !!
