All the Republicans did was to put the vote in the positive. Vote to support the troops or not.

I think you're right.

Best not to have this country voting, even if the outcome is overwhelmingly AGAINST, pulling OUT of Iraq. Best to have them voting positively. Just better PR. The spin would be something like, "already the American congress is taking votes to pull out of Iraq."

Americans know what it's all about. It's what matters.

Popcorn and beer anyone?

Not sure now how they worded it. Both ways have been mentioned and I'm too busy watching and writing.

Now, there's a Democrat backpeddling.

No question, the Democrats hate having to be on the record that they will have to defend next year, and every time they speak between now and then.
