To: proud American in Canada

An in-law wrote the book notes for SeaBiscuit and is coming for Thanksgiving dinner. He has great stories to tell about the author and the characters in that book.

I was pretty shocked that Red never connected again with his family.

Wow! I hope you'll post a thread about that, and ping me. They must be fascinating stories. I'd love to hear them.

Now, was that because he didn't want to, or because he couldn't find them? In the movie, I got the impression that his parents got lost in the shuffle, so to speak, of the Great Depression.

Did he know where they were, and did they know where he was?

Okay, my dinner is about to burn, LOL!
