Because CNN is going to ignore everything the republicans say, and just cover Murtha -- and then tell everybody how stupid the GOP is.
This is an out and out attack on Bush and the military, disguised as a "bring 'em home" resolution.
I feel like all is lost when they can stand up there and turn things on their heads.

Exactly. HE should know that this crap builds up the enemy and keeps them hanging on longer. HIS doing this is worse than having a simple civilian do it.

We are now in a new fiscal year for recruitment. We are on track now, but he is right it is because the Army lowered the standards. Of course, if there was more support at home for what the troops were doing, we wouldn't have a recruiting problem.... AND HE KNOWS IT!
The war is not going as advertised. We were told by Rats that 50,000 troops were going to be killed by Sadaam and his WMD and urban warfare.
I don't know, but the blond broad behind him is the Long Island Congresswoman who get elected on her husband's and son's abilities to take a bullet, or several.

The Army is projected to fall just 7,000 (about 9 percent) short of its 2005 recruitment goal, which is less than 1 percent of the overall military of over 1 million personnel. Furthermore, there is the unexpected rise in re-enlistment rates. In other words, the total force strength is about what it should be.
