Doesn't matter much, the MSM will spin this as GOP legislative trickery or not cover it at all.
This strategy has the markings of a HAMMAR on it.
Has anyone seen the Rule on this resolution..how many hours of debate will be allowed? And will the Dems muzzle Kucinich?
the house democrats are now crying how unfair it is.
Don't worry I'm not a quitter......still holding down the fort in San Francisco. It;s just that at times like this it would be so nice to have a Congresscritter to contact who might actually listen!!
Televise the count to our troops so they can see who's supporting them and they can decide who to support in 06.
Your comment is superior and is precisely how each and every Rep should be asked.
The gOP is gonna get some great soundbytes from this debate..Kucinich and the other far left crazies...maybe Cynthia McKinney..oh please, let her speak..
Our day will come! (Hopefully I'll live long enough!)
Reid ASKED for this when he closed the Senate Doors. Dems say close the doors and Pubs say OPEN EM UP AND VOTE!!!!!
It's gonna be good!
(musical) Doo do do do doooo....dah dah dah....
Rangel doesn't even know who we are fighting. This is the beauty of a Democratic Republic. Even putzes like this get to speak in the public arena without being thrown in jail.
How can the 'Pubbies water it down ? It's Murtha's resolution they will be voting on, and if Murtha doesn't make the changes then it is a vote on the Resolution as introduced, I believe.
"Instead of being a vote on whether to pull out (aka. "surrender"), they are making it a vote over "encouraging the troops to stay the course."
"Well, who's surprised at this, really? The dreaded Incredible Ball-Shrinking Virus strikes the GOP again."
All of a sudden my excitment meter took a big dive...put the popcorn and beer up folks. This is weak..maybe the speeches will be fun though. Good grief.
If the Democrats are unwilling to support a call for withdrawal, either by a vote of present or actual absence, then it can be assumed that they oppose withdrawal of the troops and should shut up about it.
Yes, yes, yes!
Bet the Dems do not show up.
Anyone want to take the bet?
