LOL! What a load of crap. They could have saved space on his bio and told the truth. All that crap spouted off simply put means: He's done nothing of significance and if our college wasn't desparate to hire "professors" on the cheap, we'd have someone qualified.
Dump those contents on the ground! LOL
Why waste your money sending your kids to schools where they have to lie and hide their conservative philosophy in order to pass a course ?
If you can't get by the liberals' courses, you have no hope of graduating, and if they give you bad grades, it hurts your chances for graduate school, jepardizes scholarships etc etc.
I say pull the kids out of all schools and let them all collapse under the weight of liberal stupidity. That would send the better message.
Because a generation of conservative youth without college degrees is what we REALLY want! Geez, get real.
I knew they did stuff like that for those of us in the Military.
I wasn't sure how prevalent Distance Learning was for the civilian population.
Thanks.
Ever hear of Grove City College ? Hillsdale College ? Thomas Aquinas College ? Patrick Henry University ?
Do you think a degree from an institution that hires idiots like this one is worth anything ?
Joseph McCarthy, where are you when we need you. This SOB is a puredee Communist. How dare he.
Sorry, I should clarify. The colleges I just listed are very reliably conservative. The second statement is a more general comment on your post - when Hertz Rent-A-Car hires college graduates to man its counters, you know that the average college degree is worth very little, only a bit more useful than a high school degree. A kid would be better served by getting a degree, if not at a conservative school, then thru a place like Thomas Edison College.
Probably not from Warren Community College, correct. But a degree from the institution I graduated from has been very well-respected. The majority of our professors probably leaned to the left, but were at least sane about it. That doesn't mean we didn't have one or two complete kooks like this guy though.
I know what you're saying. I went to Wake Forest and the same was true there- the vast majority of profs were great scholars and I truly got an education I am still using today.
However, I question whether that is true at many, many schools. I can tell you that there are so many complaints from kids I know who attent the Univ. of PA, or Princeton, and similar schools, that I question the value of the experience relative to the price in dollars and aggravation.
I have this theory that the only way mediocore white men can get college teaching jobs is to spout the craziest left-wing agitprop like this "Professor." Either that, or promote outrageous sexual deviance as "academic" endeavor...
It's not a huge number, I don't think, but I know a lot of homeschoolers who use it to get a start on college for their under-18 kids who have progressed beyond high school level academics. And, I know that the credits earned are readily transferred to most schools if the kid chooses to go on-campus at some time.
This will not be a pleasant winter...or spring.
OK, you got my attention. You speak as if you know for certain of something that's going down in January. What exactly are you speaking of?
Yeah, our CA colleges/universities are staffed with tenured former Flower Children radicals who flocked here from all over the United States. Of course it's not like other states don't have Lefties, starting with the Ivy League.
First of all, Mr. Daly is not a professor, he is an adjunct instructor, basically a temporary hire. He may be very good or very bad, but he is not a professor. He probably does not have tenure and can be subjected to disciplinary hearings due to actions that reflect poorly on the college.
His immaturity is striking even at the academic level. And his ignorance of communist history and the number of people who have died over the last 80 years is hard to explain unless that ignorance is willful.
The President's response is even more notable. It appears to me that he badly needs a Public Relations Crisis Management course. He has misidentified the cause of his pain, publicly blaming it on a student who has chosen to exercise her right to free speech on a national level to a willing audience. His statement that the student was hurting the shool by appearing on radio and cable shows a profound immaturity, a lack of critical thinking in a fast moving environment.
If he would like to control the perception of his institution he should simply state that any employee taking actions that reflect poorly on his college will be fired immediately by the President and will not be subject to a review by any academic boards.
But I think this President is a "fourth tier guy" and nothing will change, unless the Board of Directors steps in and arranges an unpaid sabbatical. If I were on that board, I would be making informal phone calls to determine the sense of the board members as he does not seem to have the wherewithall to execute the duties of this position, one of which is to take no actions which reflect poorly on the institution.
Warren County Community College freshman Rebecca Beach will be a guest on Hannity & Colmes TONIGHT. Info posted on the Hannity & Colmes site on FoxNews.com:
...Hannity & Colmes put this story on the map. Now, we'll introduce you to the woman at the center of the controversy. Warren County Community College freshman Rebecca Beach is here for her first on-camera interview about the email that sparked national outrage. After she invited adjunct English professor John Daly to her campus event to hear from Iraq War veteran Lt. Col. Scott Rutter, he responded saying he believes the war in Iraq will end only when American soldiers turn their guns on their commanders. What?! We'll have the full story tonight on H&C.!
Please FReepmail me if you want on or off my FoxFan list. *Warning: This can be a high-volume ping list at times.
A wh*re should be judged by the same criteria as other professionals offering services for pay, such as dentists, lawyers, hairdressers, physicians, plumbers, etc. Is she professionally competent? Does she give good measure? Is she honest with her clients? It is possible that the percentage of honest and competent whores is higher than that of plumbers and much higher than that of lawyers. And enormously higher than that of professors.
