[[Also a Vietnam veteran, Kerry was dogged during the campaign by a group called the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth that challenged his war record]]

A group called the "Swift Boat Veterans For Truth"? HAHAHAHAHA. This was not just a group. It was Hanoi John Kerry's commanders and the people that served with him. Nobody knows this rat bastard better than them.

The mere act of calling for debate will be spun by the MSM as evidence of the Congress's disatisfaction with the President and the WOT in Iraq. Regardless of the final vote or even the tenor of the debates (which I'm guessing will NOT be televised on the networks), all the American people will be told is that a premature pull-out is inevitable!

One year after the election and this buffoon still can onlt say "I have a plan"

Let's see if I have this straight....
As it turned out, our intelligence was piss-poor before we got into Iraq. And now an aged, somewhat obscure congressman who has no first hand understanding/intelligence on Iraq states we have to just cut and run.
Lazy Democrats...they never do their homework to reach a conclusion.

When I first saw this I thought Senate, even though it clearly says House. I would tend to agree with you and the others that this can't pass in the House. I would not like to see that tested in the Senate.

If Congress votes to repeat some of America's most shameful history by voting to cut and run, then I say keep your powder dry - because defense of our country will be up to the unorganized militia!

As I mentioned to ReaganMan, I looked over the word House and was thinking Senate. I agree with the comments about this not passing in the House.

Well, I can't deny that. The media is in a feeding frenzy right now and they'll do their damndest to extend it as long as possible.

Congress is not likely to do it, but if they did I'd agree with you.

I do not want to see this type of a vote in the Senate though.

Never forget the this is NOT really about the WOT!

It is about the money being spent in Iraq in support of the WOT!

Approximately $2 billion a week! The dems see this as lost votes that they could buy. This is what the whole thing is about!

Hot Damn, this ought to be good! I hope someone on the Republican side of the debate frames it as a "put up or STFU" vote. The RATS are going to be forced to show their own weakness on national defense, man for man.
