English professor John Daly replied: "Real freedom will come when soldiers in Iraq turn their guns on their superiors." I wonder when people will start fragging English professors?
Yeah, right! Meanwhile, if someone had suggested killing him and others like him they'd be in jail. 10-to-1 the guy's a total Wussy!

After reading Mr. John Dalys e-mail response I feel personally offended and believe that no student of our college should have to endure such an outrageous assault. Further, I feel our troops and our leaders have been wrongfully maligned. As a leader in Warren County concerned with the use of our tax dollars, I am even more offended that our taxes have gone to support his malicious rhetoric. WOW...I think this is huge. Referring to it as "an assault" has some real teeth, I think Daly is toast.

"...I think Daly is toast..."I agree :-)
This will be over Tuesday evening I believe.

I'm surprised the Mods haven't put one of these threads on the sidebar.
I firmly believe the email responses from the Freepers caused this action...FreeRepublic should get the credit if this POS "prof" gets the ax.

Mr. xxxxxx,
Thank you for your interest in the ongoing issue at our community college here in Warren County, NJ.
It is indeed unfortunate that something like this has happened. I do not appreciate the way that the instructor has treated our student nor do I agree with any of his positions.
I am not a member of the board of trustees of the college. I am a member of the county governing body which is similar to that of a county commissioner.
I am monitoring the situation closely and I am attaching my press release for your information.
Regards,
John DiMaio

Just proof read the email he sent. That alone could be used as an example of incompetence and grounds for termination.

"Great response from the commish"Yes, I believe we've got the attention of the local governance and the Board of Trustees. This problem should be resolved soon after the Board meeting Tuesday evening and I am relatively confident the resolution will involve Mr. Daly needing to find other employment.
Cheers,
Lloyd

bump to the top for anyone who has not already emailed Mr. Daly's superiors..

See http://warren.edu
"Tonights meeting of the Board was initially called to consider what if any action would be taken. As we prepared for that meeting, we received word from Mr. Daly that he had tendered his resignation from WCCC effective immediately. The Board has accepted his resignation."
Cheers,
Lloyd
