Laura took it to her. She would not answer any questions. She just spouted talking points.
Laura kept pressing Evans to condemn the terrorists and a recent attack on Iraqi civilians. Evans kept evading the question, but finally relented and condemned the terrorists and their actions.
Unfortunately, Laura lost the chance to respond by showing that Code Pink endorses "the Iraqi resistance" as they call the terrorists who are killing and wounding U.S. troops, beheading non-Iraqi civilians, and car bombing innocent Iraqi civilians.
Evans should have been demonished by quoting from this statement of Evans, which shows that Evans was lying when she condemned the terrorists:
We must begin by really standing with the Iraqi people and their right to resist. I can remain myself against all forms of violence, and yet I cannot judge what someone has to do when pushed to the wall to protect all they love. What does the Iraqi resistance have to lose? They are fighting for their country, to protect their families and to preserve all they love. They are fighting for their lives, and we are fighting for lies. It is so amazingly obvious; we must get out of Iraq now. They will rebuild their country, it will take time, a long time, but they cannot start until we are gone. [emphasis added]
Also, this statement of the World Tribunal, signed on to by Code Pink, shows that Code Pink is on the side of the terrorists:
There is widespread opposition to the occupation. Political, social, and civil resistance through peaceful means is subjected to repression by the occupying forces. It is the brutality of the occupation that has provoked a strong armed resistance and certain acts of desperation. By the principles embodied in the UN Charter and in international law, the popular national resistance to the occupation is legitimate and justified. It deserves the support of people everywhere who care for justice and freedom. [emphasis added, CP thus blames the U.S. for terrorists "certain acts of desperation," such as intentionally slaughtering innocent civilians]
