To post a photo on Free Republic that is already posted on the Internet:

Right click the photo
Select PROPERTIES
Highlight and copy the Address URL (if using Internet Explorer browser; select LOCATION if using Firefox) in the popup window

Go to Post Reply window in FR
Deleting the spaces after the < and before the >; type, using this sample illustration:
< img src="pasteYOURurlHERE" >

It will look something like this:
< img src="http://www.babes4bush.com/misc/support_iraq.gif" > but the only space you will retain is after img and before src

Hit Preview
If you get the Dreaded Red X, check your HTML letter by letter.

To post a photo that is on your hard drive, you will need to get an online web storage space, upload the photo/s, then repeat the process. http://www.photobucket.com offers free online web storage space that allows direct linking to another site, and is easy to use.
