Thanks, Truthy. It's the same here. The grocery stores have the flu shots. I'm going to my local Ralphs store tomorrow to get mine.

Well, where are they now? They caved at the very first step in the fight when Specter scheduled the hearings for January. How come they didn't scream about that and insist the hearings be held sooner? There's no valid reason why they couldn't have been held this month or in early December. The long interval gives the Left/Dems plenty of time to find ways to derail the nomination.

I find it strange that one would get a flu jab in a grocery store.

Having said that it was muted last year in Britain, that maybe the NHS would in the future think about putting a nurse into Tesco and ASDA (Walmart) pharmacies to do flu shots. Normally the procedure is to make an appointment with the nurse at your local doctor's surgery.

I think the idea was that maybe more people who do not qualify for free shots would be more likely to pay for one at a supermarket; where they are in spending mode rather than going to the doctors or private hospital to pay for a jab.

Many of the large supermarket store chains here have other services, including a pharmacy. For some reason I haven't paid enough attention to, our local news has been saying doctors are complaining they don't have enough flu vaccine while the big supermarket chain pharmacies do.

I have my prescriptions filled at the Ralphs supermarket a few blocks from where I live, so I'll go there for my flu shot. Maybe the thing is that you can just walk in to the supermarket's pharmacy and get a shot, but an appointment at a doctor usually is not immediate, but must be booked several weeks in advance.

Yes I had to wait a week for my flu jab which was not too bad and she also took my blood pressure as well and I was told off that it was over 5 years since I had it checked.
