The clip shown tonight on NBC made Murtha look like a bitter, old man. The fist pounding, yelling and ad hominem attack against VP Cheney sealed it.
David Gregory did add a bit of levity to the report.
He said " It's not just Democrats that are demanding a timetable or immediate withdrawal( can't remember which, but, neither was good for the troops there presently ) it's also Republicans... Senator Chuck Hagel said yesterday ..."
Hagel should switch sides and get it over with.
And does Murtha want the troops fighting Al Queda to get out of Afghanistan immediately or just those fighting Al Queda in Iraq ?

My friend I am 81 years old and a former MARINE, and I am not to old to think that this guy (notice I did not say former marine) is full of S###. I hope that he lives to be as old as I am and regrets every day of it for asking his former comrads to surrender. I can only hope that there are underlying reasons for his treason.

I think that I might have known his son, if it's the same guy, Murtha is a career politician, starting first in state gov't.

I was born in 1922---83 years old--if my service wants me back I stand ready to go---damn, so called ex-military men who sell their President out while he is overseas on the Nations business---damn, ex-military men who call for their service to 'cut and run' while standing in the halls of Congress and sucking at the 'public trough'---Semper Fi Marines and God Bless all of our troops who deserve better than a senile "RAT" trading on his past glory?? while selling them and our Nation out to the enemy.
