I don't know about sedition. The man probably has an insanity defense against just about any charge.

Someone should check out his theories on English literature, while he is under surveilance. I seriously doubt that his course materials are going to be very representative of what most of us would consider to be the Classics.

Linguistics view language from a descriptive point of view—that is they understand language in the same way you might organize a sock draw—by dumping the contents on the ground and seeing what goes together until finally ending up with a super-efficient drawer (or deeper understand of grammar and writing).

I noted that also. When I went to college, all professors, assistant professors, and associate professors had doctorate degrees. Adjunct professors, instructors, and teaching assistants held masters degrees. There were exceptions, but they tended to be in areas where the highest degree awarded was a masters degree such as an MA in Architecture and Design.

I also noted that his interest is in "socio-linguistic theory," which means that Noam Chomski is his God. Pathetic.

A short time ago, I managed to reach one of the Warren Community College trustees. He was unaware of this but seemed quite shocked when I read it to him. Pursuant to his request, I faxed him the letter, and he is going to verify the information. I think that adjunct professor John Daly may be in for a rough ride.

I also spoke with a spokesperson for YAF. He personally knows Rebecca. I am trying to set it up so that she will join us tomorrow on a live FreeRepublic thread to answer questions.
