This comes in the wake of the Woodward revelation that a former administration official discussed Plame/Flame with Bob Woodward before Libby ever spoke to a reporter. Also, that Woodward can not recall if he revealed the information to Libby.
I am paraphrasing what I heard on tonight's John Batchelor Program during the 10:30 p.m. to 10:45 p.m. EST time slot on 770 WABC here in New York.
Keep in mind that the last time I posted iformation from this program it was regarding John Fund saying Harriet Meirs Harriet Meirs nomination will be pulled. My post was two weeks before it actually happened.
FYI: I just heard Jed Babbin, a contributing editor for The American Spectator, say that Justice Department rules will force Fitzgerald to throw out the Libby Indictments. The Justice Department rule in question states that a prosecutor under juristdiction of the Justic Department can not proceed with an indictment if that prosecutor finds that facts material to the indictment are proven to be false in a continuing investgation by the prosecitor after the indictment was handed down.
Options Given By Babbin:
Either, 1)He throws out the indictment or it will be thrown out for him by a judge.
2)If he's stupid, he takes it to trial only to lose. Or.
3)He must start from scratch with a new Grand Jury with Justice Department permission that may take years to reinvestigate everyone and their mother.

Thanks. That is great information. I am beginning to get the feeling that this will blow up in the faces of the left. The left has refused to report the truth about the pre-war WMD debate, the good things that are happening in Iraq, and Joe Wilson's pathological lying, among other things. But they might be forced to report at least some of the truth when Fitzgerald or a judge drops the charges on Libby.
BTW, to me the "left" is the media. There are others, of course; but they would have no place to voice their lies if not for the treachery of the main stream media.
Several LMSM types are having problems of their own in getting stories straight, some sound worse than Libby's. If it goes to trial, I am stocking up on pop corn, to enjoy the LMSM red faces under oath.
Everything in the current climate is the land of make believe. From polls to news and everything in between.
Click your heels everybody. This lib media is the Land of Oz.
DiGenova I believe qualifies as one of the last remaining honest Democrats
Any idea when? I'd like to sell tickets.
"Chris Matthews will hang himself off the Tappan Zee Bridge."
LOL. One can only hope!
Again, I hope he doesn't.
I use that bridge and the structural damage of his fat head pulling down load bearing trusses would be catastrophic.
Yeah, like Pincus not remembering that Woodward told him about Plame. When did Pincus write his articles? Sometime in May?
Drudge has a post showing Pincus being held in contempt of court regarding the Lee case.

Bad day for the Post.
The New New York Times.
I believe you're right. Fitzgerald has staked his chances for any future career advancement on this case. He already sold his soul for it and cannot afford to let it die.
That happens a lot when you keep trying to bring down big game with no real ammunition and the critter keeps getting away as a result. The Dims in the government and the media have been after Bush for so long and with such venom that they make Captain Ahab look reasonable - real easy to convince yourself that there's some "there" there when you're so blinded by rage.
Pretty well sums it up. Nice.
Good Point... Liberals out of power when they 'feel' they have a moral 'right' to it would be in that kind of rage I suppose.
Rush is right again!
Great News! Is DU on suicide watch yet?!
I agree. I was referring to his own personal instincts and desires compelling him to want to fight it out. He may not be allowed to. I have no doubt that over the next several days frenzied consultations will be occurring "at the highest levels" of the Iron Triangle cabal about how to proceed. If they conclude that the risk of blowback is too great they may just cut Fitz loose. My gut instinct is that Colin Powell is involved in this mess, and probably Hillary Clinton (via Mandy Grunwald) as well. They can't allow that to come out.
The sad irony is that no matter what Fitzgerald was promised, even if he wins this case and Hillary Clinton becomes President, then Jamie Gorelick will be the Attorney General.
Perhaps such a fear prompted Woodward's revelation. The MSM had the wild surmise that the Libby defense was to shine light into their fetid warrens, and find many pairs of red eyes staring back. Woodward abruptly reveals info to terminate the prosecution, lest the warren be flushed and the likes of Russert etc. be exposed.
You don't make any friends by being an impartial prosecutor. The partisans will attack you as soon as you investigate one of theirs.
Fitzgerald was lauded by Republicans nationally following his nomination by Sen. Fitzgerald of Illinois (no relation), and rightly so, for being a hard-nosed incorruptible US Attorney.
