FOFL! I always feel sorry for those poor talking heads, being interrupted so no one can understand whats going on, and on top of that, needed a hot shower with antibacterial body-wash immediately afterwards.
I do like keeping an eye on what he is up to, recently.

I just went over to Poynter Online and read Romeneskos Letters. What a hoot! They cant throw the guy under the bus fast enough! Woodward, up to yesterday was given rock star status by these elitist liberal scribes. Now he is beyond contempt.

Folks, the liberal wet dream of taking down President Bush, Vice President Cheney, and Rove is falling apart all around them. They are trying to hold back the tide of truth with little half cocked lies and its swamping them.

This is going to be a good show!

" Woodward reportedly disclosed that a senior White House official told him about "

It's entertaining to see the sloppy, slipshod work of these self-worshipping journalists. Woodward says "high administration official" and the network boobs substitute "White House official."

Pincus conveniently forgot that Woodward told him that Wilson's wife, Plame, worked for the CIA.

Apparently Novak has said that "We'll all laugh" when we hear who it was..... Gotta be Wilson. Or some prominent Dem.

Its probably something really twisted inkeeping with democrats.

Novak went to a Burger King to meet Scott Ritter!!

1960 : (WALTER PINCUS IS REPORTEDLY RECRUITED BY 'CIA EMPLOYEES' TO SERVE AS US REPRESENTATIVE AT TWO INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCES - ?? WHAT WOULD THESE BE? THE IPS CONFERENCES?) What his bio doesn't mention is that in 1960, he was recruited by CIA employees to serve as a U.S. representative at two international conferences-his trips paid for by CIA fronts. Pincus was unapologetic when he disclosed his CIA role in a 1967 piece he wrote soon after joining the staff of the Washington Post. - "East Coast Press' "Willful Ignorance" Protects Flawed Institutions," by Mark Lowenthal via 2,051 posted on 04/13/2004 10:49:48 PM PDT by Fedora

Fedora, the wording here seems odd- was Pincus selected by CIA employees who 'took it upon themselves' to send him on a government funded boondoggle trip like Joe Wilson was- as opposed to being employed in the usual fashion as a CIA bureaucrat?

The underlying source on that is Pincus' article "How I Traveled Abroad On CIA Subsidy," San Jose Mercury, February 18, 1967, p. 14. The conferences involved the National Student Association--Pincus wrote this about the time the antiwar magazine Ramparts was doing an expose on CIA domestic operations involving the National Student Association. The National Student Association operation was an official (though illegal) operation run by Cord Meyer, who was pretty high in the Agency hierarchy, and Pincus was paid for it, so I'd infer Pincus' assignment was probably regular and not comparable to Wilson's boondoggle, though I'm not sure the Agency has ever officially confirmed it one way or the other. John Deutch was asked about Pincus' relationship to the Agency in the 1990s and his answer was also oddly worded: "when John Deutch was asked directly if Pincus was an "asset", he claimed not, but did express familiarity with the non-asset.": http://www.nndb.com/people/233/000044101/

"Everybody does in this business what they think is the right thing to do."

========================================================================

If he said that under oath, that would get him a perjury charge.

I keep wondering just when Andrea Mitchell will rush to a microphone to correct her correction about Plame's identity not being "common knowledge."

Mitchell looks terribly out of the loop on this one since her correction.

Imagine, Woodward and perhaps even others knew of Plame but not Andrea Mitchell - oh the shame of it.

Be advised, Pincus (aptly named Clymer, isn't he?) is a left-wing fink who often floats leaks from the left-wing finks inside the CIA. They have been in the ascendant ever since the Admiral Stansfield Turner days. He's a left-wing fink, and yet another Jimmy Carter Jerk. He absolutely crippled (perhaps permanently) the agency's HUMINT cpabilities.

NEW YORK Walter Pincus, the longtime Washington Post reporter and one of several journalists who testified in the Valerie Plame case, said he believed as far back as 2003 that Bob Woodward had some involvement in the case but he did not pursue the information because Woodward asked him not to.

That right there should make it clear to people that there was nothing to the story. If Woodward thought it had legs, and could take down the President, he would have been all over it like white on rice, because he desperately wants to re-live his Watergate glory days.
