"our fundamental principles are, which is less government, lower taxes and a strong national security"
Which is why his group opposes spending cuts and drilling at ANWR? Apparently he hasn't been taking his medication.

After being skunked by the Dems on the budget bill (and giving up drilling in ANWR), I tend to agree with Bass, but not for the same reasons. Hastert is not a strong leader, but I disagree with Bass' contentions about DeLay. Especially after DeLay finishes chewing Ronnie Earle up and spitting him out, I think he will return to Capitol Hill ready to take on the leftists more aggressively and retreat from substantially fewer fights.

He said the House Republican conference "would be healthier and more unified if we had real elections and if [former House Majority Leader] Tom DeLay would step aside for the good of the conference. In other words, these democrats in sheep's clothing (RINO's) would rather be a minority and support the left wing extremist wackos rather than actually work for a living or the American voter.
We've got to get rid of THIS guy - vote him out.

New Hampshire Republican Rep. Charles BassA house divided cannot stand.
I vote Rep. Charles Bass step down immediately.

"...we are about what our fundamental principles are, which is less government, lower taxes and a strong national security." There is a fundamental disconnect in Rep. Bass' thinking. If the above represents his policies, then why is he leading the charge against drilling in ANWR?
Having wrapped himself in the mantle of "moderation", I suspect Bass couldn't care less about "less government, lower taxes and a strong national security".

Bass earned a score of 20 in the JBS's 2005 Congressional Conservative Index...a score lower than Barney Frank, John Conyers, even the admitted socialist from Vermont Bernie Sanders

Bass had an ACU rating of 56% conservative in 2004.
He's not a conservative.

In 1998 or 99 I met Rep. Bass and asked him face to face, "do you support a national sales tax or a flat tax"? His answer was so political, he did give an answer.
The only thin he has done to support the conservatives was defeat his socialist predecessor a guy name Sweat.
Sweat promised he would support the Second Amendment. Sweat voted for the Assault Weapon Ban and lost his job to Bass because of it.
He is a Rino but what upsets me is Rep. Jeb Bradley our other rep from NH who is not a Rino, he also voted with Sweat.
We have plenty of libs here who want Bass's job and they will jump to run against him.
If we had a hard ass Conservative in this district, supported by the local republican party (who are weaklings) HQ in Concord, Bass would be out with the Dem Governor (Lynch) who studies the issues so long, people forget what they are about.
