Just a guess, but has W been laying low for several months intentionally and is now going on the offensive because he knew these docs would eventually be translated and released to the public? Who knows.

And now we have all these stupid republicans even backtracking on the WMDs. "we were wrong, blah blah blah...but...so was blah, blah, blah..."
No we weren't wrong! There have been a whole bunch of us who have always believed there were WMDs that were moved out during the long run up to the war. Why is that so dang hard to comprehend???
