I really think the tide would turn. If you look at public opinion polls..............over 70% of Americans don't like illegal immigration. In the border states like CA where I live it is even higher. I think people would demand a shut down on the border if there was another 911 directly linked to the southern border.

I think such demands from the public would be, at the very least, met with charges of racism, overreaction, hysteria, vigilantism. The most visible govt action would be measures taken to protect threatened minorities. That mens action to protect illegal colonists and mohammedan terrorist sympathizers from the "stupid dangerous public".

Are you kidding? Another 9/11 linked directly to the southern border at this point would bring masses of enraged, riotous citizens storming Washington. You'd also see masses of people rushing to the southern border armed to the teeth and very, very trigger happy. Men, women, children, and anything else that moved in the direction of this country across the border would be so riddled with bullet holes that it wouldn't be identifiable to the naked eye. And God help the police officer who tries to stop one of them. I don't think the politicians comprehend how dangerous a situation this has become for everyone. The American people are just beginning to wake up to the horrible threat that our complete lack of perimeter security in time of war represents.
