Moral Absolutes Ping.

I bet you're tired of stories like these; I know I am. I used to ride school buses a long time ago and there was never - NEVER - any activity like this on a school bus. Or at school. Maybe someone way in the back might try to light a cigarette, holding it out the window, and they were usually caught.

Warning - don't send your kids to school if you want them to not have to witness **** like this. Or be pressured or influenced into participating. Kids are very strongly influenced by what's going on around them. Even kids from very good families can go wrong - and it's usually the influence of other kids or adults around them (look at the 14 yr old girl and 18 yr old boy recently in PA).

Freepmail me if you want on/off this pinlgist.

Liberalizm's often quoted PC Handbook says; playing gobble the salami is a genderless protected activity. But profiling ridership by gender, color, race, etc. or just for any reason is just not acceptable!

And then we have the above report.

Anybody got a scorecard for this crap? Common sense used to be so simple.

That's for sure. While crap like this existed before Clinton, his escapades during his presidency exascerbated the problems. Folks, keep in mind that shows started getting sleazier during Clinton's eight years in office.

Plus, I've heard time and again the myth that "if you're within three or four years, it's ok." Heck, I've even heard it from my health teacher in high school.

I'm not a legal expert, but I'm going to ask: can this be prosecuted as statutory rape, and if so, can we try as adults, convict, and lock these kids up for a while?

Why do I hold this view? Apparently, today's kids just aren't getting the message that they should NOT be having sex, especially if they're under their state's age of consent laws. Further, we as a society need to educate our youth on the legal prices of underage sex, and ramp up enforcement, prosecution, and corrections of these types of cases.

In short, sending some of the "repeat offenders" to prison and labeling them as sex offenders for the rest of their lives might be enough of a wake up call, such that they don't "do it". I know it's awfully harsh. But if it helps kids get the message, I say it is worth its weight.

Keep in mind that teen sex leads to a myriad of other societal problems, therefore, killing the root helps kill the plants and the seeds. While cutting down on teen sex won't eradicate our social ills (welfare, drug dependency, decay of marriage, etc.), it will no doubt help.

I've heard of stuff like this happening when I was in middle and high school. I graduated high school-class of '04. Though I was never social (and still am not), to not see these things happening was virtually impossible.

All I'm going to say here on said things is: kids will do anything in the hall, even if a vice-principal is nearby.

Yup. Happens in the "best" communities, like the one my sister lives in.
