Your little photo just looks like a decomposed body to me. How do you know what it died of? Have you ever seen a decomposed body? (You must have seen at least one episode of one of the multiple "CSI"s) They pretty much look like that, yucky blackened skin and all.

White phosphorous is all around us these days. When one of the "cookers" screws up and fails to keep the water going into the "cooking process," white phosphorous is what you get. That's why we find so many crispy critters in "failed" crystal meth labs.
Artillery uses WP rounds to mark targets as well.
