RAMALLAH, November 15, 2005 (WAFA-PLO News Agency) -President Mahmoud Abbas said that establishing the free and independent Palestinian state is not impossible and it has to be established on our terms and conditions.
In a televised keynote address Tuesday on the 17th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence by the late President Yasser Arafat in Algiers, President Abbas revealed that our real battle revolves around founding a Palestinian state according to our conditions and not of Israeli occupation one.
"A free and independent state is not beyond the realms of possibility, even if it is late in seeing the light of day," the President said.
Abbas accused the Israeli government to impose a unilateral solution based on establishing a Palestinian state on temporary borders, subjected to Israeli surveillance, and divided by colonies to finally be turned into cantons. He added "Israel was acting as though it had no peace partner."
The President also accused the Israeli government to turnover all peace agreements and international peace projects, adding that the Israeli intentions are focusing on flaming a Palestinian civil war.
"Israel was acting as though it had no peace partner."
Imagine that!
