Promised to do some trainblogging and am catching up on a deluge of e-mail. Several readers sent this disturbing story yesterday of a Brigham Young University professor named Steven Jones who believes that 9/11 was an inside job and that bombs, not the Islamist hijackers, are to blame for obliterating the Twin Towers and all of the innocent people inside them.
"It is quite plausible that explosives were pre-planted in all three buildings and set off after the two plane crashes which were actually a diversion tactic," he writes. "Muslims are (probably) not to blame for bringing down the WTC buildings after all," Jones writes. Popular Mechanics debunks the tinfoilers' claims here. No matter. Jones insists:
The 'symmetry data' emphasized here, along with other data, provide strong evidence for an 'inside' job." Who the shadowy "insiders" are, Jones won't say. Look for Jones to be hired as a script consultant for Oliver Stone's 9/11 movie any day now.
Lemme guess--he "challenges" us to "be open-minded"...?
Why not? He's so open minded his brain fell out his arse.

No doubt you can hear all the lefty loons embrace this on Err America this afternoon on Ed Shultz, Skank Rhodes, and later this evening on Mike Malloy.
Americans are making the exact same mistake that lost us the Viet Nam War.
This is rotten.
The really dangerous enemy was not in Viet Nam and is not in Iraq or anywhere in the region. The enemy is in the United States, and the enemy are American citizens.
Would it be appropriate to ask what color Mr. Jones is... ?
The enemy is in the United States, and the enemy are nominally American citizens.
Supposedly AirAmerica had a story that Bush slapped an intern who asked an ethics question that made him mad, who happened to be a female blackbelt, who put him in a half nelson and demanded an apology. Bush broke out in tears, kicking and screaming on the floor, muttering "they're going to kill me" before a psychologist came in and gave him an injection and they carried him out. Supposedly there were reporters present and they were looking for them to corroborate. A woman called in to local talk radio today with this story , supposedly reading it off a website. Now that's a moonbat.
There's something happening here and you don't what it is, do you, Mr. Jones?
I think it's time to duke it out. CWII!
That's too far out for even Art Bell to come up with
Were the airplanes crashing into the building a diversion or an optical illusion?
No it's true. Didn't you see the cover of either the Globe or National Enquirer that said Bush had a mental breakdown and is being treated and heavily medicated? Don't you read the news? (sarcasm off)
BYU says he is a math professor. He may understand numbers, but he don't know beans about life or common sense.
